Vincent Perez

Vincent Perez

Please provide a short biography: Vincent Perez has practiced experiential education and training for over 15 years with a particular focus on student engagement and staff development in the areas of leadership, juvenile justice and Latino empowerment. He founded La Cima (the Summit), a bilingual leadership program 10 years ago and served in juvenile court mentoring and diversion programs. As an educator, Vincent Perez serves children, families, and service providers through workshops, trainings and retreats. He is especially moved by opportunities to witness young people discover their voices and affirm their self worth. Vincent frequently speaks at schools, facilitates student programs and trains adult staff to better serve their students. Vincent also enjoys playing his guitar and harmonica in his free time. Vincent currently serves as the Latino Outreach Coordinator for the Association of Washington School Principals (AWSP). AWSP is Washington State’s preeminent professional association for public and private school principals. In addition to supporting the leadership development of adults, AWSP provides nationally-recognized leadership programs for K-12 students.
